A project of the Canadian Railroad Historical Association (NB Division) to benefit the New Brunswick Railway Museum

The Canadian Railroad Historical Association (NB Division) produced a DVD of current and recent VIA trains operating in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. This DVD was a fundraiser for the New Brunswick Railway Museum. The total running time of this DVD is 48 minutes and 54 seconds.

This movie was produced on DVD-R recordable discs. Please note that DVD-R discs may not play in some older DVD players.

1. VIA Across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia

Take a trip from Campbellton, NB to Halifax, NS visiting numerous places in between. Eastbound and westbound Oceans are seen, with both the new Renaissance cars and the older Budd stainless steel cars.

2. The Veteran Train

VIA ran a special Veteran Train in November 2005 to take veterans from Halifax and other stations to Montreal and on to Ottawa. The train was unique in the Maritimes, quite possibly the largest passenger train in the area since World War II with three engines and thirty cars. This segment captures the train at several locations between Truro, NS and Moncton, NB.

3. The Bras d'Or

VIA's Bras d'Or train ran between Truro and Sydney, Nova Scotia from 2001 to 2004. Pat and David Othen provide footage of this remarkable little train at several scenic locations in northeastern Nova Scotia.
