The CRHA (NB) produced a DVD! VIA in the Maritimes showcased VIA's passenger trains in the Maritimes, including the recent Veteran Train featured in the news.

2006/01/24 Grant from Province Received
We are pleased to announce that the Culture and Sport Secretariat of the provincial Department of Intergovernmental and International Relations has awarded the CRHA (NB) a grant of $5000 to support the renovation of our baggage car CN 8605. We will be refurbishing this car to make the interior into a multipurpose display space for more exhibits. Our sincere thanks to the Heritage Branch of the Secretariat for their support for this restoration work.

Member Ron Grant was kind enough to scan the Oct-Nov-Dec 1987 issue of our Update, and I have posted it on the web at this address. We have many back issues available for your perusal.

2005/03/08 Colonist Coach Seats Reupholstered
We have received the last of the colonist coach seats with their new upholstery. The next tasks in the restoration of the coach are to paint the interior and replace the floor. After that, the seats will be reinstalled.

2005/02/10 Grant from Province Received
We are pleased to announce that the Culture and Sport Secretariat of the provincial Department of Intergovernmental and International Relations has awarded the CRHA (NB) a grant of $7396 to support the renovation of the colonist coach. We applied for funding to reupholster the seats. Now that the grant has been received, we will send the seats away to Brine's Upholstery to have them reupholstered, repaint the interior of the car, and perform whatever other emergent work that may come up. Our sincere thanks to the Heritage Branch of the Secretariat for their support for this restoration work.
